Bivamuntuyo is a Community Based Organisation in Kabawanga, a small village in the Kyotera District in Southern Uganda.
The organisation was founded in 2013
by a group of local community members in collaboration with Kim Vogel.

Bivamuntuyo literally means “It comes from sweat”, in other words: “Hard work pays off”.

Our Vision:

To nutritionally support children to grow healthy.

Our Mission:

To prevent and manage malnutrition, to offer nutritional education and products to improve the lives of the community members.

Our Aim:

  • Raising awareness among mothers/caregivers of the problems associated with child malnutrition.
  •  Treatment and rehabilitation of malnourished children.
  • Educate mother/caregivers and communities during outreach trainings on the importance of breastfeeding, family planning methods, HIV testing, counseling and general hygiene.
  • Equip community members with agricultural knowledge and skills using the Biva demonstration garden.
